2026 Engineer's Week Awards Banquet

Join us in celebrating the engineering profession at the 2026 Engineer's Week Banquet, to be held on February 19th at the De Rosa Center at the University of the Pacific. This annual event provides a platform for local engineers, allied professionals, and individuals with an interest in engineering to come together and recognize the contributions and achievements of the field.

Reserve your seat early to take advantage of the discounted rate. Reservations received by February 6th are priced at $75.00 per person, while reservations made between February 7th and February 15th will be $85.00. Late reservations received after February 15th will be charged the door price of $95.00, and dinner choices cannot be guaranteed.

Convenient parking is available north of Grace Covell on the University of the Pacific campus. A map of Pacific Campus is provided for reference. Don't miss this opportunity to connect and celebrate with your peers in the engineering community at the 2026 Engineers Week Banquet.

The Engineer of the Year Award is a highly coveted recognition bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their engineering profession and community. Each year, participating engineering societies nominate deserving candidates who hold both an engineering education and a license to practice engineering.

Since 1967, the San Joaquin Engineers Council has been granting this award annually. The selection process is carried out by a committee of previous award recipients.

This year, the 2026 Engineer of the Year award goes to David Leamon.

Mr. Leamon’s distinguished career in public works, defined by visionary leadership, technical excellence, and an enduring dedication to community infrastructure, truly sets him apart.

The Distinguished Service Award is a prestigious recognition given to individuals who have selflessly dedicated their time and expertise for the betterment of the engineering profession and community. The selection process is handled by a committee comprised of previous award recipients.

It is with great honor that the 2026 Distinguished Service Award recipient is announced as Rosemary Cureton.

Ms. Cureton’s transformative leadership in STEM education, grounded in equity, mentorship, and a passion for empowering the next generation of engineers, truly sets her apart.
